  • Deceased AMCA Members in 2025

When members pass away, we are sometimes notified by other members or family members. In some cases, we find out through this forum or chapter newsletters, but we felt it would be best to build a list for each year. At the very minimum to list those members we have lost. This is by no means a complete list, only those we have been notified of. If you know any of them and have more information, please start a new topic with their name and pass along more information, bio's, stories, etc. Help keep members' names alive by sharing their stories - Keith

I don't know why I chose to look at this list of deceased AMCA members today, but I just noticed the name of Irv Truax. I can't believe there was no mention of him on our forum because he was a true historian of Excelsior and Henderson motorcycles. He certainly schooled me on some of finer points of Excelsior history and doubtless many other Ex/Hen enthusiasts. I am sure that he had family, and many friends that knew him on many other levels of life and they miss him for all the years of interaction, experience, and love. For me, he educated me about my passion for Brand X which he knew a lot about. He was respectful, and patient, and enlightening so he is one of those people that brush your life and leave a golden mark. My deepest respect for his family, friends, and our hobby he gave too. God speed, Irv.

*Eric, i managed to find something about the passing of Irv Truax. I've looked high & low, but i can't seem to find an obituary? Irv was a member of the AMCA Empire Chapter, and there are some small write~ups about him.

Thanks for the reply, JoJo and what a fantastic picture you posted. That is the dream for all of us; to get out in our shops and noodle with our bikes regardless of age or health. It's the dream, and the passion that keeps us going.
