  • Rigid Frame Trailer Hitch

I posted this to Knuckle and Pan forums - sorry to duplicate, but it fits both areas and hopefully I'll find some advice:

I need a trailer hitch for my knucklehead and don't want to "re-invent the wheel" . Has anyone made or used a hitch on a rigid-framed bike?

    To elaborate:
    How was the hitch attached?
    Were any problems encountered?
What would you do different next time?

    Any and all input appreciated!

Not much help for a stock rear fender but I bolt this behind the axle with 3/4 inch bolts, chains attached to the sissy bar support the tounge weight.

Thanks for the shot - Its not too far from what I envision - I'll probably run a strap up to the saddlebag mounts to support the tongue weight.

I used to pull a small trailer with my Panhead and just wanted to add to a note to upgrade your brakes, it's dangerous enough to ride among the idiots on four wheels let alone pulling a trailer with an antique bike with minimal brakes. Note the picture above and the disc brakes!
