    Dan!

I used Yamabond 4 religiously in the late '80s.

It turned out to have a life expectancy of about six years, which is great for a Yamaha.

My preference is 3M #800 Industrial Adhesive, which is lited under an -80 H-D OEM number.

    It is ugly, though.

I've used Permatex No 2 (the liquid) between the motor cases for over 40 years. I've never, repeat, Never had a leak. and it comes off fairly easily with lacquer thinner or acetone, even when its been on for a long time.

        Bill!

        Gasoline will dissolve it too.
So OHV H-D owners better have a perfect petcock!

Hylomar works nice, If the flanges on the cases are in good shape. And gas won't eat it. I had some bad experiences with Yamabon, doesn't take much squeeze out to lock a motor stud in its hole real good.
