    Default Zerks?

    HI Folks,

I need to order new zerks for my WLC... forks, brake crossover etc. Does anybody know the size so I can order 10 or so?

    Thanks!

    yes, they are.

i assume we are referring to button head Alemite zerks. i've been looking the past few weeks on the internet for them and no luck. would like to find them for less than $4 - $5 each such as i find them on our various well known motorcycle vendor sites. Sites like McMaster-Carr, etc only have sizes 1/4" and 3/8"

I used to buy them from Napa in bulk. Don't know if they still sell them. However the profile was a bit different than OEM. Good luck.

For what it's worth, I got some from a seller on Ebay and they were good. I see he still has them :https://www.ebay.com/itm/1927-38-Ind...item3daa46c8fd

Those will work, but the threaded section is longer than H-D used.

Thank you Robbie and Harry for the tips. I'll check out NAPA and and the seller on ebay, $3 is better than anything i've found. Somehow that seller escaped my ebay travels.

Trevor, i don't know what type of zerk later H-D models were fitted with, so i don't know if these "round head type" are correct for what model you intend to fit them to. As i mentioned earlier, i assumed the zerk being referred to is the button head type, i'm only very familiar with the '27 J models, reasonably familiar with 26, 28 and 29 and they all were fitted with button heads from the factory. Thanks for opening up this thread.
