Is anyone reproducing these with the bar and shield in it?

  • #2
Not to my knowledge. I have a nos wartime one I would consider letting go, maybe a trade for something. I was thinking of getting it reproduced with a 3D printer. Send me a message.

Chris; The pedals that V Twin has now do not have the bar and shield.
Bmarinac; An overseas vendor had some on Ebay a month or two ago with the bar and shield. They also, had them in different colors. If I remember correctly, they weren't cheap. I don't see them now, but they may pop back up when they make some more.

So all we need bow is for somebody to make the "Branding Iron" so we can have the Bar and Shield on Ted's repops.

            Shoe-Goop, Chris!

Eclectic Products should be available at any "essential" hardware store.

(Plaster mold on left, 'Shoe-Goo' rubber ink-stamp on right, which turned so tough as to be best for a pedal over time.)

Bmarinac; Here is a link to the foreign seller of the starter pedal with the bar & shield. Kind of pricey.

Not a bad price for a complete pedal. Only problem is that it looks much better than the original. :-) But on a restored bike reproduction parts are allowed as long as they are the best available.

I agree with Chris, that is a decent price for what it is. Those pedals in rough shape using a toggle bolt to hold it on go for $500 and up. For the right restored bike, that would be a nice add.
