I've ordered new springs for my 34 from Harbor Vintage but haven't received them yet so I can't state as to the quality. A lot of oil pumps are out there running with broken springs.

Here's the adjustment screw on mine that I was referring to. What is its purpose?

That screw at the rear adjusts the angle of the swash plate, and hence the stroke of the little plungers and the pumping rate for the pump. The VL book and the VL Heaven Website tech section have more details.

Thanks for the info koanes and Steve.

I would be willing to work out a trade for a 30-32 carrier plunger and some help with other small parts I'm looking for. A few on my list that come to mind are the circuit breaker cover hold down post/strap, screws for cam cover, (1) cylinder primer, oil dump springs, generator strap screw (into the case), any gaskets.
