Indian Instrument Panel

After cleaning up the instrument panel mounts, I noticed they both had markings. One has a B, I assume for Battery, and the other has an I and an M, I assume for Magneto. I searched a little on this site for any discussions around these markings and did not find any. I also don't remember seeing any information about this anywhere else. Am I accurate in the assumptions of their meanings? Both of my bikes came from different areas of the country, so I assume these were factory marks, maybe to specify which ignition to install?
