  • 1922 Indian Standard Clutch to Tranny Cable

    Hi All,

    IMG_8405.jpg

The attached photo is a reference point for my questions. First, the unattached Tranny gear locking cog that you see has been reinstalled. My concern is for the clutch to tranny cable. In viewing other available pics the rod looks to be a straight shot without the bends that you can see mine has. As well, that barrel looking connector in the rod approx. 2" from the tranny makes me wonder. Is it meant as a disconnect for the locking cog ( because its located right there and at times catches on the cog) OR is it some backyard mechanics idea on how to lengthen a rod to work?

Your input as always is appreciated,

    John
