I am assembling a Corbin speedo drive for a 38 chief.
I have three cables,40,40.5 and 41.25x5/8 outer cables.
I believe the 41.25 is the one I need, although the the 40.5 has the best covering and bushing end.
Is there any instructions to assemble inner cable.I have some short C links and long C links for the end connnections besides the long links that make up the rest of the assembly.
I guess a hook is used to pull the spring connectors out and attach the end but how much tension should be on the inner cable or should the final assembly have a small amount of end play with the springs fully retracted.
Also is the bearing end for the drive?
Thanks
Tom
