  • Indian Tandem foot rests

Hi, my first post, I have seen many tandem Q+A, I may be missing a spacer each side. The footrests won't move if the pedals are bolted right to the "down pieces". It all includes a cast piece with 'INDIAN' on it at the frame, held by U bolts, it has a metal rounded tube as a handle, I have no seat yet, but a Messenger(sp?) #2 short-nose seat looks like it would work. A full sized seat will not work and doesn't look good. I have seen two photos, one in Hatfield's book for 1935(great pic!), and an accessory for same year but that's a copy of a copy 'til I can't make it out. This set-up I have has one big spring from the seat bracket to main bracket, offset down pieces (for kick starter clearance). Here's my Q:how do the footrests mount, and does anyone else have this type? Any info or lead to an expert I would appreciate 100_2851.jpg100_2845.jpg100_2846.jpg100_2847.jpgvery much. I have no instructions. And I'm having a DEVIL of a time attaching photos, cuss! cuss! Thanks, andy k PS I can't tell if these uploaded as photos or what, why is this so hard?!
