  • Wire loom routing

I'm not going for full restoration and according to Palmers restoration guide wire loom 70168-48 should be cotton covered but mine is asphalt so that is already a strike against me. Don't know the source of my wiring kit, got it with this project for 52 Pan 38 years ago. Anyway for my question, according to palmer the loom would be routed along the the top of frame then across left frame down to seat post into terminal, but 48 only the loom went in side of left frame. It would seem to me that going down inside of left frame is actually a better option, other then technically not being correct is there some other reason it should be routed outside like I currently have it?
