In what year and/or for what model year did the Super Soft (aka Super Deluxe) buddy seat change from having (a) a narrow nose pan with a seat top that was stitched to a leather binding strip that was riveted to the pan to (b) a broad nose pan with a seat top that was stitched or otherwise attached to a rubber or vinyl border strip that was compression clipped to the pan?
The discussions I have seen appear to be inconsistent. For example, unless I am missing something, Palmer appears to indicate 1961 in some places and 1963 in other places. And, unless I am confusing them with standard (aka original or Deluxe) buddy seats, I have seen photos of what I believe to be Super Soft buddy seats with riveted leather binding strips and 1964 or 1965 date stamps.
