Restoring a "66 FLH this winter and it was 98% complete and original ...and yet there are some parts that it just makes sense to replace rather than try to restore.
Like the pipes...much easier to get new ones than have the old ones repaired and rechromed...and a new fender tip (one good and one bad)...and shocks and covers...and saddlebag rails..to name a few.
is everyone's stuff the same? Are those parts from Antique Cycle Supply or Vtwin or J&P all the same stuff? or are there people who have only the best of reproduction stuff?
Any and all advise appreciated. New to this forum and really like it!
