After my engine rebuild was complete we realized that the front oil diverter baffle that is cast into the front of the lower cases was missing. (The rear was intact) Is the baffle necessary for the front piston to get enough oil and cool properly. We installed a new set of aluminum forged pistons supplied by Compitition distributing and left the bottom oil scrapper ring in as was recommended by the supplier. I am riding this bike in the Cannonball and intend to ride every mile to the finish in San Francisco. What has been your experience or what is your opinion and why? Thanks, Steve
