I would gladly read such a story!

Nope, but if you do you'd better get at it Chris, there's questions to be answered!

Can anyone in FL do a search of the motor vehicle records to find when it was last registered?

You're right. It's clearly a different bike. But which bike? Whose bike? And how did it end up in Florida? It all seems to depend on geography and if that comes together we might know something. And therein would be a tale, which of course might also include Mr. Sparough's elusive real #1 machine, which just sprouted wings and vanished!

Did that. Got more information but nothing is certain yet about the new angle. Not proven, but not ruled out either. All I know is that is a very unique collection of parts to turn up unless the original owner had a very close or very old connection with Harley-Davidson.

    Is Jurassic in the House?

I reviewed the thread about Lonnie's dad's 6-stud Harley, the green Florida bike:

    http://amca.dreamhosters.com/bboard/...t=13222&page=9[/QUOTE]

Lonnie I hope you're reading this.

Did you ever ask your dad these things?

    1) Does he know the name of the "elderly gentleman" who sold him the green Florida bike? Did he ever know the guy's name?

    2) What year did he buy it in?

It would REALLY help to get that information from your dad for this new angle I'm working on. It could help identify that machine!
