At 99.75, I'd say you got it pretty darn close...

Years ago Jerry DeMille made the fenders for my Merkel. He called me on the phone to ask me what I thought of them, and gave me a lot of pointers and tips for installation. He even did a large scale drawing of the braces. He's the kind of enthusiast, and decent guy that makes this hobby so great. I just wanted to get that thank you out there.

What did you think of Jerry's collection?

I'd say ask Bruce Linsday. He put some serious miles on one that was three years older!!!

I get ya. There aren't many originals left and to try and find parts from '06 could be a task left to many generations after you and even then it's doubtful it could be accomplished. It is nice to see that the lonely engines can be put back into service again though and jurassic does a pretty good job at it. It is also pretty darn refreshing to see an e-bay seller give the complete "true" rundown on a bike like the one currently up for auction.
Is this bike now owned by Jerry DeMille?

I don't know about that. If a Knuck had repop parts that were being passed off as original, I may have a comment. Other than that, it's about riding for me and if it takes some repop to get it down the road then so be it. Dewey's comment is headed in the right direction. Compared to Strap Tanks, Knucks are rather plentiful....
