I'd like to give the cylinder and head on my '28 HD B Single a finish that isn't flat black but not shiny gloss black either. With the VHT 550 paints it looks like my choices are either gloss or flat, though i do see a "GM Satin black". I was hoping to get a smooth finish so i'm not sure i'd want satin.
I see Dupli-color has a 500 degree Ford Semi-gloss. Is there a high temp semi-flat out there, or will semi-gloss give me the toned-down look i seek?
Also, how high does the temperature typically reach on the cylinder and head? Dupli-color also offers a 1200 degree paint and i wonder if i should use that instead.
thanks for your help,
Lincoln
