I recently purchased a box of H-D spot lights from a long-held stash of parts, looking for the long stand models as used on the springer models (have the adjuster screw for the bulb focus in the rear). All the ones I have seen on these primarily knucklehead models have chrome housings. However, among the chrome spot lights in the box are a pair that are painted black and it appears that this is original paint, since there is no chrome underneath. Is it possible that this is correct for my model, a 1948 Utility Solo model (that has a black, not chrome headlight and tailight? can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks - hope the knowledgeable members in the Club can help. See ya'll in Oley. thanks - Lonnie Campbell
