Update on Palmer's book

A big Thank You to Bruce and Debbie Palmer for many things.
1) For not having a middleman publisher involved in this edition and for thusly being able to sell these new books "directly to all AMCA Members at the lowest possible cost." Amazon and EBay do also add their profit and shipping costs and to get these wonderful, very detailed books for this "lower direct from the author cost" is an ememplary effort on The Palmers behalf.
2) TY to the Palmers for coming to Eustis in 2015 for two days to personally handle book sales to Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts. Please personally Thank Bruce and Debbie when you see them this coming year! They are extremely dedicated enthusiasts that help other dedicated enthusiasts to achieve better results in their restoration and maintenance efforts on all these wonderful machines.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Debbie told me yesterday the second printing of the second edition has been shipped and they will have them next week. Just in time for the Eustis Book Signing Friday March 6th and Saturday the 7th at the Eustis Swap meet and Bike show in Eustis Florida Fairgrounds. Bruce will be on hand from Noon to 5p.m., both days to answer questions as well as signing his wonderful revised two volume book. The amount of extra information he has included in this work is unbelievable. Bruce has made a few corrections and edits, so this will be the most up to date edition.

There has been few Harley Researchers as in depth as Bruce on his work from 1937 to 1964 Harley Davidson Motorcycles. All of us owe Bruce a Big Thank You for what he has shared with us. Provisions have been made that this is an all weather event, Bruce will be outside if weather is great or inside the Expo Hall with the Antique & Vintage Motorcycle Show. He will not be hard to find just look for the large crowd around him and Debbie.

Bruce and Debbie Palmer announce DP Publications will have a Book Signing, Rain or Shine at the Destination Eustis Vintage Motorcycle Alliance Swap meet and Motorcycle Show. Bruce will be able to be there both Friday, March 6th and Saturday March 7th, noon till 5:00 pm each day, the only place to meet and talk with Bruce, pick up a signed copy of his new Two Volume "How To Restore Your Harley-Davidson Motorcycle" that weekend. We Thank our friends Bruce and Debbie for what they do for us all.

There will also be a Gulf Coast Chapter Booth along side my Cherokee Chapter booth as part of our Reach Out Program, attending non AMCA events to expand our Chapters. The Cherokee Chapter members will be bringing out extremely rare Teens Motorcycles and Cannonball Motorcycles for display in the VJMV hosted Bike Show.

Need to clarify about the Gulf Coast and Cherokee Booths mentioned above, these are "Meet and Greet" booths to recruit new AMCA members at non AMCA events, part of our Cherokee Chapter Reach out Program. What and where individual members do and go to promote their Chapters should not be viewed as anything else but a positive effort to grow the AMCA and share good times with friends. The VMA has always supported the AMCA with information in our meet Brochure handed out at the gate and also reached out to other broad-based Motorcycle Groups.

We also welcome the Author of the book Georgia Motorcycle History, by Chris Price, will also be doing a book signing at Eustis, exact times to be posted later upon final schedule commitment from Chris Price. Shelby

After selling out the first printing right before Christmas, the numbers of back orders for Bruce's Revised Second Printing of the new Second Edition 2 volume set, after the Eustis Book Signing, they will have plenty of Shipping to do. Bruce would really like to get his Second Edition on the How To Restore your Military Harley Davidson finished and off to the printers as soon as practical. Debbie will post their future Book signing locations as soon as they are decided.

It has happened allready. Some wisenheimer in Arizona bought five copies of Bruce's new book. Now he has one listed in eBay for only $230.00 + shipping. Such a deal.

I propose the AMCA buy a bunch of copies from Bruce and give one away to every youth member that starts a bike build (that falls into the years of Bruce's book) on the new 'Young Members' section. The AMCA wants to draw the younger crowd into the club, what a good way to help them and support Bruce's work.
