Probably one of the most recognizable units in WWII, the Bersaglieri fielded twelve battalions of motorcycle mounted troops, predominately on Moto Guzzis. They are an elite light infantry unit which was founded back in 1836. Originally used in place of cavalry units, they traveled at a fast jog to make up for lack of horses.
