Dear Tom, it looks like a Harley Sport in the window. Check out the cover of my latest vanity project:

I stand corrected again, Steve!Originally posted by Steve Slocombe View PostDear Tom, it looks like a Harley Sport in the window. Check out the cover of my latest vanity project:

The funny fork, with the blur at the fender, and carb placement threw me...

What's the difference between a Sport and Model O?

 Thanks,...

The Indian Model O lightweight was a 247 cc fore-and-aft flat twin with the magneto on top, perhaps also influenced by the British Douglas, that ran 1917/18 but was abandoned like the 1916 Indian Featherweight 221 cc two stroke single. The 1919 Harley Sport brochure describes the bike as a middleweight of 600 cc/37 cubic inches, perhaps to distance it from the earlier unsuccessful Indian efforts. The Sport was technically advanced but unfamiliar in its home market and soon eclipsed by the 1920 Indian Scout and withdrawn after the 1923 season. The 76 page book is $40 plus post for those interested.

 I'm easily confused, Folks!

Especially when I'm sorting 22,000 snagged pics, that are often mis-labeled.

So these ain't Model O's after all...

 Found this one mislabeled twice...

I think this might be a real Model O, maybe...
