Coyotes were originally found in the deserts and prairies of the American west and southwest. They began migrating eastward in the late 1800s and were first seen in New Jersey in 1930. DNA evidence shows that they bred with both gray wolves and domestic dogs to create what is now known as the “Eastern coyote.”

I found this on the "net" that shows the NJ on his lapel. I don't know the guy. Sure... it's a modern photo.

Cotten, I didn't realize coyotes were so flat! (HAHA That's a joke son!) I haven't seen cougars here in NJ, but about 2 miles from my house was a black bear. I never ever would've thought that! WHO know where it came from. This is such a built up area now too.

Looks like it's a probably a '47 Indian. I can see his NJ Tag mounted on the front fender. I'm not sure when NJ went to single plates.

Looks like it's a probably a '47 Indian. I can see his NJ Tag mounted on the front fender. I'm not sure when NJ went to single plates.

1969 for rear plate only on motorcycles in NJ; front and rear still required for automobiles in NJ.

not exactly a vintage picture, but i just bought this copyright 1913 book off ebay. i can imagine the author will capture the excitement of motorized 2-wheel transportation in its infancy motoring on primitive trails...

Just wondering... how "fast" would she be traveling to stay on the wall? I've been to a couple of them, but never got to ask anyone. These Wall of Death riders always amazed me! I don't even let go of my handlebars when I'm on a FLAT road!
