Charles P. Myles Sloansville Charles (Chuck) Peter Myles, born December 7, 1941, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2012. Chuck was born on Long Island, NY in Seacliff, and grew up there. As a youngster, he raised, raced and showed homing pigeons, continuing to do this during his life. He graduated from Springfield College in Springfield, MA, with a bachelor of arts in education and physical education. He returned to Seacliff, NY where he life guarded during summer months. He was an active member of the Seacliff Volunteer Fire Dept. He taught for BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services) in special education. Chuck also participated in golden gloves boxing and restored antique Indian and antique Harley Davidson motorcycles (pre 1953). Several years later, he moved upstate to Sloansville, NY. He taught physical education and special education for Amsterdam School District, Amsterdam, NY and continued to restore and repair Indian Motorcycles. He also became an accomplished Indian Motorcycle hill climber. Chuck was predeceased by his mother, Mary Jayne (Woodworth) Myles; and father, Charles Peter Myles. He is survived by his sister, Mary Jayne Murphy; and nieces, Mary Jane (Murphy) Rosito, Suzanne Murphy; and his wife, Stephanie Myles. Memorial will be at a later date.
