Vin number

Looking to trace the history of a 1954 Servicar using the vin number. Any help will be appreciated.

Most States has a DMV where you can submit a request for a title search that will give a history of previous owners. It helps to have a licensed dealer submit it.

Usually this is done when the title is lost. I am not sure how it would be handled if you already have valid paper.

It's worth a try. My brother has traced ownership of a truck thru the DMV. He was looking for a 50 Chevy truck he last knew of in the 1970s and actually tracked it down to the current owner in Minnesota -- although by that time it was junk. But the DMV route worked for him.
