  • Side by Side Upswept Shotguns

Check out the Glide-Knuckle at http://www.hydra-glide.net/ under "pictures"> "Miscellaneous". Was built by Carl Barnes in the 50's or early 60's. He paid $50.00 for the front clip (Glide-front end) back then. I'm building a copy, but I'm using the 7" headlight. The pipes are from Paughco. Their 2003-2004 catalog is $8.00 (800) 423-2621. They sell retail. The part number is 711D. The mufflers are KH barrels. 2-3/8" diameter. 1-3/4" inlet. 22-1/2" long. Available from Tedd (VT 30-0181). Upswept shotguns seem to look right on a Knuck, but not as good on a Pan.
I'm building this'46-'51 Knuckle with an 1-1/2" BDL belt primary (VT 20-0611), under the OE primary cover; plugging the primary oiler in the pump, and sealing the sprocket shaft area with an external Colony (#7411-2) seal and snap ring. Taking photos along the way, start to finish.
