  • Yerba Buena Chapter King City Run April 28-30, 2016

Come join us in Steinbeck Country! This ride has a pre-1916 theme, but all antique motorcycles are welcome. We usually have about 1/3 pre-'16 bikes and the rest are newer, all the way up to the AMCA qualifying year. Cost is $95. Registration details are included in the flyer.

You can download the flyer here or from the Yerba Buena Chapter website Calendar page. While you're visiting our chapter website, you can check out Ride Reports and Galleries from past years' King City Runs. http://www.yerbabuenaamca.org

The ride is based in King City, California. You'll enjoy riding through the Central California farmlands and the Gavilan Mountain Range. Highlights of the Friday ride include a trip up and over the infamous Parkfield Grade (including about 5-6 miles of dirt road), spectacular views of the Central Valley from the top of the Gavilan Range, and lunch at the Parkfield Cafe in the Earthquake Capital of the World. Google "earthquake capital of the world" and read up on Parkfield! The Parkfield Cafe is a rustic joint with great food and about a thousand branding irons hanging from the ceiling. If there's an earthquake while we're having lunch we will definitely know it.

Thursday, April 28th is a short shake down run of about 35 miles departing at 3:00 pm.
Friday, April 28th is the main ride. The route covers 110 miles with an option for 160 miles. Your entry fee includes lunch at the Parkfield Cafe and dinner Friday night in King City.
Saturday, April 29th is a short ride of about 70 miles with a lunch stop.

Host motel is Keefer's Inn, 615 Canal St., King City, CA. Phone 831-385-4843. Room rates are $59 for singles and $69 for doubles. We have a block of rooms reserved through April 1st.

As with all AMCA rides, AMCA membership plus proof of motorcycle registration and insurance is required.
