I'm having trouble getting the correct flywheel end play for a set of factory KH flywheels. The recommended end play is .006-.010. Can't get them any closer than .030. I'm using the correct crankpin 23960-54 and have replaced the boss washers with NOS ones. The female rod needs to be at least 1.5 inches wide to get to .010. The rod I have now is 1.4765 wide. I tried an NOS Sportster rod which is 1.4835 and it is still not wide enough. Thicker boss washers are not available for K-models. I would rather use the factory flywheels than buy new ones. I took the flywheels to a local shop and they haven't been able to get them any closer. Suggestions have been to have thicker boss washers made or machine the taper of the crankpin. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you solve it? Thanks.
