    Eddie--
There is a big acorn nut on the outside of each side of the swing arm, if you take that off you'll find a pivot pin adjustment that has 2 holes and requires a pin wrench to move. They're usually rusted in place and require a bit of patience and a lot of penetrating oil, they're a fine thread. They should be snugged down evenly and backed off a hair when everything's freed up.
As I recall, the bearings behind them have to be pulled out rather than driven out from the back, which may be a challenge.
If you don't know about this site already, you should go here and all your questions will be answered.

You should also download the workshop manual here if you haven't already.

I have a tool I made for the pivot pin adjustment that I can lend to you, let me know.

Eddie, I'm sorry to tell you that your Guzzi is trashed beyond repair and that I will come a take it off your hands for a minimal price. Let me know when I can come pick it up, thanks.

I've always wanted an early Guzzi, good luck with yours.........
