  • Insurance for pre-1915 Motorcycles

I am having difficulty finding anyone to insure a pre-1915 motorcycle. One major insurer of antique automobiles and motorcycles, who advertises in the AMCA magazine, only insures antique vehicles if the vehicle is in "showroom" condition. Another stumbling block is that the motorcycle needs to be appraised by a reputable appraiser. My motorcycle is in original running condition and is road worthy for parades, etc., but is not in "showroom" condition. Any suggestions would appreciated.

Talbot....Call around to an insurance broker, have them contact Continental Western Insurance. PO Box 1594 Des Moines IA 50306 If you cant find a broker, write them and ask
for an agent in your area.

I have no connection with them, I'm just insured with them. They insure for stated value that you set. You send them photos and they verify your value. I have insured finished bikes as well as original looking bikes with no problem. I think they,re reasonable too..
    Good luck....Rod
