Has anyone seen the "reportedly" 1910 Model 6 Harley on Ebay ? (Item number: 130246421438)

I'm not sure but - Is this not a Brand New "Timeless" machine currently being sold for approx $26k but made to look old ?

We've had a Timeless turn up at a Genuine Veteran meet over here - the guy had the cheek to attached a pair of Harley decals in a bag onto the handlebars so giving the impression of a early Harley !!!

I would be very suspicous (especially when the Buy Now price is $55k !!!) as they say buyer beware...

This is not the first appearance of this same machine on eBay. It is, reportedly, a genuine engine with a complete reproduction rolling chassis, fork, wheels, ETC. that is sprinkled with whatever original parts could be located.
There are several machines made of this combination of real and reproduction parts. Some look real good, others not so good. When ya need a part and a great reproduction is available are ya gonna turn it down?

That's it in a nutshell. There just ain't enough original stuff in the world to meet demand and if you are lucky enough to have an early motor and the bucks for the repro rolling chassis you'd have to be pretty pure to turn it down. In the old Otis Chandler "1907" thread we hashed out the original vs. replica issue in every way possible. Most weren't against replicas if they are described accurately as such. It would be great fun to own and ride one of those "Timeless" jobs.
