skirted indian Sport scout

Basic question, was 1940 the only year of the skirted sport scout or did it carry through 1941?I see various restorations with the skirts, but I've seen them on restored 1939's-41's. 1940 was the first year of the skirted fenders and the last year of the hard tail rear end. 1941 and 1942 models had skirted fenders and a rear sprung frame.
