  • Ready To Give Up - Need Help Bad !!

    I have an H-D 45" solo bobber, with a 56G motor. It's a mixed matched bobber, but it's all I have.

But, I need help. I'm trying to convert my 45 to 12 volt.

I have a new 12 volt generator and a new bosch type regulator.

I basically understand how to wire my bosch regulator ( with battery !! ), but I'm not sure about my generator.

My 1st Question is: Which post on my generator is the Field post and which post is the Armature post ( The generator isn't marked ) ?

    My 2nd Question is: Is there a difference in a 65A Generator and a 65B Generator ?

Please help me, I want to ride before the summer is ove !!r

On the 65A generator (and and I think virtually all clones) the A is on the left and F on the right if you're holding the generator with the terminals facing you. I think the 65B generator is the one made in Japan used on the last of the generator Sportsters. I have no idea what it's configuration is ... Perry
