Possibly a late 47 frame. Any better pics of the neck?

I agree with Kyle as it is a late 47 frame and fork.

            Daniel,
I agree, it does look like a late '47 frame & fork. If so, the fork's
stem should be offset from center. The frame neck casting should
have the number "12" under the XE-35 and should be 30 degrees.
I have never seen the "spring post?" that is on the frame by the
front fuel tank mount. My guess that is someone's modification.
I have to say, I enjoyed your pics of your travels. Beautiful scenery.

It is hard to see on the small picture, but I'm pretty sure that it is the upper sidecar connection. It consists of a pair of cast iron clamps, a bolt, a nut and a spring. It goes over the lower tank bracket.

If it is the very late 47 frame it could have 2 UU 's side by side in the left triangle behind the lower bearing cup "the area where the chopper dudes used to cut the necks to rake them". These marks are slight and thick paint can obscure them.
It should have the advance lug off the lower gas tank mount but I cant see it with the little pictures.
