Covid lockdown here in NZ had us house bound for about 75 days with no social contact what so ever.

I found a box of springs that I thought were for the Excelsior Big X cush drive in the rear wheel.
A bit of checking revealed that they are not for that application so now I'm asking are there any ideas out there as to what they might be for.
