  • Harley Big Twin Rigid Frame - Rear Sidecar Connect Fasteners

I'll be mounting a sidecar on a 1957 Panhead. I need the fasteners for the rear sidecar mount to frame. Parts numbers are Bolt - 6036-36 (new # 4979), Check Nut - 6036-36B (7938) and Castle Nut - 6036-36A (7944). Can anyone tell me where I can get a set?

Thanks Tom. I thought of Old Dude but his web site doesn't tell you much about what he has. I'll try the "Parts Request" thing and see if that works.

        Toms NOS has them listed.

Be sure to put a nut between the mount and the frame as the factory did. In this factory photo you cans see they have outlined the mount parts with chalk.

Keep in mind that if you have a rear crashbar on it the mount needs a spacer washer to make the crashbar mounting tab the same thickness as the nut on the other bolt to mount the ball socket square. That spacing also sets the factory toe-in.
