  • General Info about the Forum Part 1.

Start out of course by logging into the forum. I suggest that you keep your username and password in an accessible and safe place so if you need them to login you will have them. Lost passwords are the #1 problem with logins. Avoid using the function some computers offer to “remember password.” These tend to get corrupted for some reason and in general just foul you up.

When you log in you will notice the forum home page is organized around a bunch of sub-forums so it will help you to scroll down the page and take in the different discussion forums available. To see a list of these Forums and sub-forums scroll to the end of this article and review them in Appendix. You will see sub-forums of areas you are interested in. If there is no specific sub-forum for a thread you want to create you can go to the General AMCA Forum section and make a general post in the sub-forum Parking Lot Chatter.

Forum members usually have a wide interest in everything posted on the forum so they will go to the header area of the home page and click on the “New Posts” tab. This will produce a table of the latest posts to the forum.

It can help as a new Forum member to go to the Welcome forum and initiate a post introducing yourself as a new forum member. It helps to give some general info such as where you are from, whether you are a member of an AMCA Chapter, what interests you have in regard to antique motorcycles and how long you have been involved in the hobby (or business end) of antique motorcycles.
