You can say what you will about Roy Clark's acting career, but he was a great guitarist, and performer.

Eric, Ya' mean Cousin Roy & Myrtle Halsey weren't acting? He was a Helluva Guitarist, but played Fiddle & banjo pretty damn fine also.

I hated the Beverly Hillbillies when it was current, but as television comedy has continued to degenerate, I can now see how brilliant, bizarre, and surrealistic it was. . . Not to mention funny. To stay on the motorcycle topic; there was an episode where Jethro borrowed some hippy's bobbed, rigid frame Harley (beautiful bike). The hippies wanted to make a connection with Granny because she 'smoked crawdads'.

I always dug the Clampetts, and Drysdale was Hilarious. The first season was a little corny, but after that, they really started cookin' Viddles! Great crew to pull it off, and even funnier Today!

sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread, but well, i was probably a little korny then, but i liked the hillbillies, lost in space, my mother the car, gilligan's island, bewitched, dark shadows, the fugitive and bonanza. also american band stand, ed sullivan and the news. i would have been ages 13-16. pretty weird to watch those shows then have the violence of the viet nam conflict and on the civil rights participants brought into my living room. it all got real when i got to shake Bobby Kennedy's hand a month later he was shot dead on tv. i was 16. damn. and here we are now..... when the day comes i would have to start my '67 Royal Enfield Interceptor on the center stand is the day i won't

That's a nice FLH. Winning bid was $8,000 - very affordable.

Definitely Mike--someone scored a deal!!! Plus it was Roy's Pride & Joy!
I wonder what it would have sold for if it was offered at the 2020 Las Vegas Mecum Auction???
