Helping a local family sell this bike:

FOR SALE: 1913 Excelsior model 7C $25,000.00 or best REASONABLE offer

This machine was acquired as a rolling basket in the late 90’s and restored by Rocky Mtn. chapter AMCA member Jack Averman. All internal engine parts are original Excelsior parts in excellent condition, excluding the piston rings which are new. It has never been started but can be put in running condition with very minimal effort.
This motorcycle was modified in the late teens or early 20’s by a gentleman in northern Colorado and it is believed he worked for Floyd Clymer at his Excelsior dealership in Greeley, Colorado. The frame, tank and tool box have been modified to lower the overall height of the machine as well as giving it a more modern appearance, compared to the taller, square look of the original machine. Many of the small nuts and bolts were reproduced at the same time and slightly modified for appearance, but appear to be very well made. Handlebars were also widened for a better riding position. All of these modifications were left as is but the remainder of the machine was restored.
Motorcycle is located in Arvada, Colorado and can be seen by appointment only.
This machine was built with all correct, original mechanical equipment including:
*7 HP, 61” engine S.N. 37904 *Correct Schebler carburetor and Bosch ZEV magneto
*Eclipse countershaft clutch *Corbin V band rear wheel and brake
    * Troxel saddle * Excelsior pedal cranks *Excelsior muffler

Included are detailed notebooks made by the previous owner, along with registration cards, old Colorado titles and history about the previous owner.
