  • 1949 Harley WL - Floorboard Question

    I have original Floorboards with their original black Mats.
    If I want to swap for newer Mats I should really buy new boards INSTEAD OF drilling out the original rivets and riveting on new mats; right?
    I think I need to preserve these originals and rivets are what keeps the mats to the boards it seems.

    Anyone have a spare set of boards to sell?
    I want to run white rubber on the bike for a bit; as it is too black all over.

    I believe that Paughco sells new boards with mats installed. At least they used to.

      White footboard mats did not exist before 1961.
