  • What size hole ?

What size should the hole be in the frame tab for the inner primary mount on a 40 EL?
Should it be a bit bigger than the bolt to allow for movement or variance or the size of the bolt?

    Thank you in advance.

The frame tab slot is .437" long and .350" high, the bolt and spring let the cover flex.

      Thank you 1950Panhead.
I was just looking through my 1936-48 Parts Catalog (the one with the black cover) And don,t see an image of this bolt and hardware. (page 77) Is it the same as the one for the front of the rear chain guard?

      Thanks again.

And the oil tank tab! All three are covered by one bolt with hole for cotter pin drilled thru it, with the two flat washers ,spring nut and cotter pin.
