  • 1932 Harley VL Single Color Pin Stripping Location and Size

I am restoring a 1932 Harley VL with Sidecar. It is the Base Single color Paint Scheme. The color is Police Blue with Red and Gold Stripping. I'm not sure of the exact location and thickness of the Pin Stripping for this Bike. Any Photos or info on this would be much appreciated.

Remember all the striping was done by hand so you have some leeway. My book gives some clues from striping brush sizes, and there are photos of unrestored tanks. but little on sidecars. I'm not an expert on sidecars, and when I did one for a customer my painter eyeballed the stripe thickness from photos, which might be all you can do.
