  • Matchless parts availability?

Thinking about buying a 1959 Matchless 650 (one that's probably considered 'good' condition) but wondering about the availability of parts? Anybody know if most parts are readily available? Or will this be like searching for hens teeth?

Twenty years ago and more I used to go to the Canadian Antique Meet in Paris, Ontario. Those Canadian kids had tons of 30's, 40's and 50's British.

Hi sprangerny, Post WWII Matchless and AJS motorcycles have some of the best parts availability of any British bike with the exception of Triumph and perhaps BSA. I am pretty sure most things are available. The Owners club is the place to start and you can join the forum for free for a 3 month trial period before you need to join the club.

Here are the main ones, also there is a lot of second hand stuff out there. The downside for you is that these spares sources are on this side of the Atlantic.

Many thanks for the link information! I know where to source parts for my 1948 Triumph Speed Twin but have no knowledge of Matchless bits. That will point me in the right direction. Thanks!20181119_115422.jpg
