      Early were nickle wash later copper plated.

            Folks,

            It ain't electroplate.
            The parts were dipped in molten copper as part of the hardening process, and then the 'wear surfaces' were machined.

            Like WLA crankpins, etc.

              I have lots of early open rocker arms that are cad plated and some that are like dull nickle and later ones for enclosed covers are copper plated if that helps you with the finish on them.There is a difference between early and later rocker arms.
