    I have a 1945le sidecar, i am hooking it up to my 1949 panhead, need help
    have it all done but exhaust. What do i do with front head pipe to get it past sidecar mount??
    Does somebody make a front pipe?
    Please if anyone can help

    There is a special front exhaust pipe for sidecar mounting. It has a perfectly placed dent for the cross mount to slide though. You can however mark your head pipe and take it off the cylinder and dent it yourself. I did. You can't use the slinky covers over the pipe unless you drastically cut into that as well. I'm sure this is what you mean and hope you can figure it out. Just don't hammer the exhaust in place connected to the cylinder head. I'm sure you know that. Good luck

      Did you get this taken care of? I know it is an old post, but there are 2 types of lower connectors, one tapered and one not. The tapered one seems to fit without denting the exhaust.
