  • 1905-1914 two cylinder engine and planetary trans. What cycle car does it go to?

Price $1,500 for all. Up for sale is a VERY unusual circa 1905-1914 cycle car or small automobile engine of approx. 10 HP and transmission, in an under the chassis aluminum mounting case, similar to a 1906,1907,1908 Ford Model N,R,S. Motor is 23 3/4 inches across. More photos avail. just ask. No visible cracks, never set outside. Motor is quite nice and can be used by itself without this case and trans, and is well worth the opening no reserve bid. Trans gears are in and out of the case and may or may not be complete, but are merely bronze spur gears. In addition early planetary transmission are extremely rare and are worth loose at least $1,000. Thus this is a great set of parts. The pedals say S and R for them. I suppose that is for slow and reverse. No markings on the engine. Transmission is marked New York Gear Works, Brooklyn N.Y. with 1900 1904 and 1909 patent dates on it. This may be from a circa 1910-1914 cycle car. You could build a cycle car type speedster racer or race car with this stuff! Shipping is $200 USA or actual costs for foreign ship.Sincerely George Albright, Ocala, Fla. cell 3--5--2---8---4---3---1--6---2--4--weekdays 10-4 best. Email gnalbright@gmail.com
