  • Inner Shock Washer

My parts books show no inner washer used between the shock rubber and the mounting studs. This would cause the rubber to be compressed against the hex portion of the stud which is very poor engineering and and makes no sense. Both books also show P/N 6722B in the parts listing for 1954 through 1964 but not shown graphically and it is of correct geometry. I assume that this is the inner washer. Would somebody please confirm that this is the correct inner washer.
    Thank You.

Bill it takes a flat parkerized washer just like the front except the inner washer hole is larger for the shock stud. The parts books are bad for this, at least mine are. Call Bart at Old Dude, I get them from him. Best picture I have unfortunately.

Thanks Murph. From what I can tell the correct number is 6722B. It's a 5/8" I.D. flat washer and it's listed in my OEM H-D parts book (1962 - 1970), but it's not called out on the accompanying sketch.
