    The quality of those Pohlman photographs is remarkable. The close-up you posted Chris, is a perfect example. I think I speak for everyone in saying thanks for going to the effort to share them.

      I like blowing up the photos and looking for things in the background. Like this man in that same photo. I know that Robbie probably knows who he is but does anybody else? He was very important to H-D.

        He is the man who wrote the Knucklehead/Flathead Service Manual. His name is John Nowak. All of the photos in the book showing hands doing a job were his, giving him the nickname of Mr Hands at the MoCo. He was the MoCo's Number One trouble shooter. Dean of the Factory Service School, and is the man who set up the York Final Assembly Plant.
