  • Can anyone ID this bike?

    Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum, AMCA #7004. I usually lurk the Knucklehead and Indian forums. Anyway, I was hoping someone here might be able to identify this bike.. A colleague of mine found this pic in a family album. Any info or ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

While built by the Joerns-Thiem Motor Co., 331 American National Building, St. Paul, Minn., USA, the 1911 American Model 51 had battery ignition, non-valenced front fender, pedal gear and dark finish - which the pictured bike has. By 1912 the bikes were produced as Thiems and had a magneto in front of the engine, a light finish, no pedal gear and a valence on the lower part of the front fender.
