  • Best source for VL spokes

It's been ten years since I restored my'32 VL. Now I'm working on a '35 and would like to know what's the best source for stainless spokes. I'm going with 19 inch rims front and rear. So is it Harbor Vintage, Buchanan's, or some other source? I'd appreciate any guidance/recent experience. By the way, does $120 a wheel seem like a lot for spokes? does to me . . .

I laced up a set of Buchanan's for my '35 vld and they worked fine.

Spokes aren't something you can make without special equipment and I'd bet that most dealers and vendors get their spokes from Buchannon's. They'll only sell retail to you but they sell wholesale to dealers. Make friends with a dealer and you might get a better deal. I think ANY dealer can get ANY spokes from Buchannon's at a discount.
