  • throttle cable replacement help, please

I'm replacing my throttle cable...last one kinked somehow, just about 6 " above the carb...
The housing's fine, so I thought I'd just replace the cable itself.

My question is: Is lithium or simply WD-40 OK to use to lube it up before inserting it into the housing, or is there something else I should use?

I'm gonna try and do this without removing the housing...but maybe this shortcut's not a wise move???

    'Preciate any input...

A light coat of oil is all you need. Lithium is too thick and will attract and retain dirt. WD-40 is not a lubricant but was intended to be a water drying compund for electronic parts. I've been using oil for years trouble free.
